![]() Wait until you start messing with helicopters. Simulators that don't have such realistic detail are called "games." There is no arcade (non-realistically easy) mode in FG, as far as I know. Elevator (pitch) trim is even more important, with its own set of predictable behaviors. Trim requires constant adjustment, as the amount of roll varies according to throttle setting, airspeed, angle of climb, and no doubt more stuff I don't even know about. This is quite apparent in the little Cessna, and in real life the pilot counters the roll with aileron trim. The more throttle you use, the stronger the effect of the engine's torque to roll the plane in reaction to the mass and aerodynamic resistance of the propeller, in accordance with Newtonian physics. Thanks danlightbulb Posts: 3 Joined: Sun 4:17 pm I don't know if its me, or the installation or the control method thats causing the issue. Honestly don't know what Im doing wrong, because I have played other flight sims and have never had these problems. I cannot even line up in a straight line with the runway because of the above. Sometimes a tiny adjustment makes the plane bank 45 degrees or more, other times the controls seems to be having no effect on the plane at all. I only have keyboard controls available but its just all over the place. It is always turning either left or right and always climbing or descending. Second, in the air, I just cant get the plane to fly straight and level. I'm trying to use '0' and 'enter' rudder controls to combat this, so I can get it into the air, but by this time the movement on the runway means I haven't taken off in a nice straight line. I'm using the basic cesna that starts off on the default installation.Īs soon as I increase power on the runway and start moving forward, the plane starts pulling left. Problem is I can't get the plane to fly straight.
